Upon returning from France, Maggie majored in French Language and Culture at Fu Jen Catholic University in in Taiwan. As an active undergraduate, she was the president of her department’s student association, leading a team of fifteen to build various successful activities and events. She was also completing a minor in Fashion Marketing, and through her internship at Marie Claire was able to gain valuable experience in the fashion magazine world. After graduation, Maggie joined Elle Taiwan as the International Coordinator. She learned the importance of building strong interpersonal relationships and how necessary they were for the smooth running of the magazine. Her days were filled with writing articles for both the online and print versions for Elle. Maggie’s talent for spotting trends helped her to develop incredibly well-received articles and Facebook videos.
While the media industry is very lively, fun and full of up-to-date information, Maggie decided to leave the position after two years. She left Taiwan for San Francisco to discover fashion and beauty from a brand new angle and began her graduate studies in Fashion Marketing at the Academy of Art University. She believes her time at the Academy has significantly broadened her understanding of how Fashion Marketing and Branding work together, and how to effectively reach a target market in an exciting, direct way.
Looking forward, Maggie hopes to work in the marketing, digital marketing or e-commerce fields and continue to learn and grow as a creative person.
